Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Oct 13-19

There are six milestones this week from four different people on three different formats.

Colton Dixon finished 11th season of American Idol, but it hasn’t stopped him from finding his own niche. His “More of You” is the debut single from his second album and it goes top 10 on CAC. Also creating milestones on CAC is Carrie Underwood. The Season 4 American Idol winner is more closely associated with Country (with a couple of cross-overs to mainstream), but her greatest hits albums will lean towards Christian. The debut single “Something in the Water” is representative of that. The song debuts on the CAC chart in the top 50 and moves into the top 20 on Country.

We also have multiple milestones over on HAC. Daughtry’s second single “Battleships” from their latest album finally went top 20. It’s been kicking around for a while. Lindsey Stirling from AGT goes top 40 in the format and Ella Henderson goes top 30. Ella was 6th on the UK franchise of the X-Factor and “Ghost” is her debut single. The song also went top 40 on Pop giving her her first top 40 Top 40 song in the US.
