Monday Morning Mediabase Update: May 27-Jun 2

Three milestones from three Idol winners. Each of them are for second singles when the first singles from the albums are still charting.

Phillip Phillips, winner of Season 12 of American Idol has his second single pop up on Pop. “Gone, Gone, Gone” has moved into the top 50 in that format and is currently charting on 4 formats (Top 5 on AAA and HAC and top 20 on AC). Phil’s singles seem to have long legs considering his first single was released just over a year ago and it is still charting.

Fantasia also has two songs charting right now and her second single also made a milestone. “Without You” featuring Kelly Rowland has achieved top 20 on Urban while her “Lose to Win” is still top 5 on UAC. Fantasia won the third season of American Idol.

Representing the first season of American Idol, is Kelly Clarkson. Her second single from her “Greatest Hits” album is called “People Like Us” and has just moved into the top 30 on AC. Her first single “Catch My Breath” is still charting in the top 5 on that format.
