Monday Morning Mediabase Update: May 14-20

One Direction is the milestone trendsetter of this week. Their debut single, “What Makes You Beautiful” went top 5 on Pop and top 40 on AC. Their second single, “One Thing”, also went top 40 on Pop. That means that they have one song charting in the top 50 on 4 formats and two songs charting in the top 40 of the Pop chart. The one direction this group seems to be going is up.

Carley Rae Jepsen not only performed “Call Me Maybe” on the Billboard Music awards tonight, the song also went top 40 on AC. The song is currently charting on three charts.

Our last milestones is from our first Idol, Kelly Clarkson. Her debut single, “Mr. Know it All”, has amazing legs and has just achieved top 30 on Country.
