Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Mar 26-Apr 1

For the fourth week in a row, Kelly clarkson has topped both the Pop and HAC charts. “Stronger” is top 10 in 3 formats and is charting in 4. The song has lost its bullet on both Pop and HAC, so it will eventually give some of those other songs a chance at the top. LOL. For now, rule on, Lady Clarkson.

Another female Idol who dominates the chart also had a milestone this week. Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” has been showing how to get things done and is top 10 this week on Country.

Chris Rene keeps chugging along as the first success story from the X-Factor US franchise. His audition song and debut single, “Young Homie”, is now top 40 on Pop. The song is top 50 in two formats.

Daughtry had a successful performance on Idol to introduce their new single and “Outta My Head” is now top 50 on HAC.

One Direction, from the UK X-Factor, has achieved a top 15 with “What Makes You Beautiful”. Some have said that the group is quickly replacing Justin, but he is chomping at their heals this week. His song flew up to 18 on the Pop chart in just one week with a ginormous spincrease of 4012. These new lads will have to step on it if they want to keep him at bay for another week.

Jennifer Hudson’s “Think Like a Man” can’t seem to make up it’s mind. One week it’s up, the next it’s down. Bullets come and go. It’s always a surprise with this song. It has reached top 30 this week.

Reaching top 40 this week is Mandisa over on CAC with her latest single “Good Morning”
