Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Jan 20-26

Three milestons on the Monday Morning Mediabase report.

Jennifer Hudson’s debut single “I Can’t Describe” from her third studio album is climbing the UAC charts. The song is now top 10 in the format. The song was produced by the man that is everywhere these days, Pharrell Williams.

Over on AC, we have two milestones both from the X-Factor franchise. The UK version spawned One Direction and their “Story of My Life” is steadily ascending in four formats. This week, the song achieved top 20 on AC meaning that it is top 20 in the three mainstream formats. Josh Krajcik is the runner-up from the first season of the US version of the show. His “Let Me Hold You” is from his 2013 album “Blindly, Lonely, Lovely” and the video was released last summer. I have no idea why it is currently surging up the chart, but good for the song debuting on the AC chart in the top 30.
