Monday Morning Mediabase Update – Jan 11-18

Sadly, I must report that Kelly Clarkson, despite a valiant effort, was swarmed by those every persistent “Fireflies” and relinquished the top of our HAC chart after holding it for 9 weeks. She had an awesome run.

But, all the news wasn’t bad. Kris got his first top 10 hit with LLWD on HAC. The song also became a top 40 hit on AC. That’s 3 formats in the top 40 for that song at the same time. It joins songs by Kelly and Daughtry currently in that club. Sticking with AC, Elliott’s “Can’t Keep on Loving” also moved into the top 40. Songs are starting to go recurrent so we saw some nice upward movement on the Pop chart from Kris, Daughtry and Adam. We are likely to see two more songs go recurrent on that chart this week.

Just in time for his album release week, Jason Castro rejoined our charts with his single on HAC.

Here are your Monday Morning Mediabase Updates for airplay as of 8:53 pm of 01/17/10 after the jump (trying to be consistent with the peaks and Idol Chatter).
