Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Aug 22-28

Two milestones this week on our radio chart.

Lauren Alaina’s “Road Less Travelled” was recently named IHeartRadios “On the Verge”. This resulted into a huge jump onto the chart landing her at 34 with the largest spin crease on Country. She had a massive 1034 increase in spins over last week (the next closes was Kenny Chesney with 845). This will land her well on the chart and if listeners respond, the song can sustain growth (granted, at probably a slower pace than this week). This song was co-written by Lauren with Meghan Trainor.

Lindsey Stirling also achieves a milestone this week. “Something Wild” moves into the top 40 on HAC. This is her debut single from her third album which was released this week. “Brave Enough” debuts at 5th on the album chart with 49K (45K in album sales). Her last album, “Shatter Me” opened at 2 with 56K albums sold (before SPS). She will top the Classical Albums, Classical Cross-Over and Top Dance/Electronic album charts.

Frank Ocean debuts at number 1 on both the album and BB200 charts.
