Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Apr 8-14

Four radio milestones this week including two from Idol’s most successful winners.

First up, is Colton Dixon who finished 7th on the 12th Season of American Idol. His “You Are” has moved into the top 10 on CAC. This is his first Mediabase top 10.

Olly Murs is also a non-winner making waves. He was the runner-up on the 6th season of the original UK X-Factor franchise. He has had a lot of success in the UK, but “Troublemaker” is his first really successful foray into the US market. The song went top 20 on HAC making it top 20 in two formats.

Kelly Clarkson is the original winner of American Idol. Last week, she performed “People Like Us” with some rather scary eye make-up on Idol. This week, the song debuts in the top 40 on HAC.
