This week features 6 milestones. There are 4 Idol Winners (1,3,4 and 11) and two X-Factorers (one from UK X-Factor and “3” form the US franchise).
Lots of songs debuting this week. The highest debuting jump is Fantasia on Urban. While Fantasia is a staple on UAC, she is not seen as frequently on the Urban chart. This week, her “Without You” featuring UK X-Factor judge, Kelly Rowland, jumps from 61 to 45. Also debuting at 45 is Kelly Clarkson’s “People Like Us” on Pop. This is her second new single from her “Greatest Hits – Chapter 1” album. The song is almost top 20 on HAC. Right behind Kelly on the Pop chart debuts Emblem3’s “Chloe (You’re the One I Want)”. I believe this is the first debut of the band on the radio charts and it is their first official single. They finished 4th on the latest season of X-Factor and they would like you to know that they are not a boy-band. Simon might like you to know otherwise.
Carrie Underwood moves into the top 30 on Country this week with her fourth album’s fourth single, “See You Again” (bringing to 3, the number of songs making milestones this week with the wourd “You” in them. “You” is the new “U”!). Olly Murs, from UK X-Factor, goes top 15 on HAC with “Troublemaker” while Phil Phillips goes top 30 on AC with “Gone, Gone, Gone”. Phil’s second single is now top 30 in 3 different formats.
Fantasia returns to the top 5 on UAC with “Lose to Win”.
