Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Apr 20-26

The Mediabase Milestone report is back with five milestones. Apologies to those we missed for Carrie Underwood, Canaan Smith, Fifth Harmony and others.

Season 8 of American Idol features two milestones this week. Third place finisher “Danny Gokey” has achieved top 15 on CAC with his latest single “More Than You Think”. This is his second single off of his second album. Debuting in the top 50 on HAC is Adam Lambert who was the runner-up that season. His “Ghost Town” is the debut single from his third studio album and first album with his new label.

Also debuting on a chart this week is Season 6 Idol winner Jordin Sparks. “Double Tap” featuring 2 Chainz is already on the Rhythmic chart, but now it is also on the Urban chart. This single is part of her third album project “Right Here, Right Now”. She’s going a little edgier this time around.

From the Canadian franchise, we have Carly Rae Jepsen. Her “I Really Like You” which has its fans and detractors has achieved top 40 on Pop.

Representing X-Factor US is Fifth Harmony. “Worth it” featuring Kid Ink joins the top 30 on Rhythmic making it top 30 in two formats (the other being Pop).
