Five milestones and a returning song are featured on this week’s Monday Morning Mediabase Memo.
Harry Styles dropped his third single from his “Fine Line” album releasing later this week. While buzz singles “Lights Up” and “Watermelon Sugar” have had an impact on the sales and streaming side, “Adore You” is the first single from the album to have a real radio presence. It goes for adds today and tomorrow, but “Adore You” is already top 40 on Pop and top 50 on HAC.
This is one of the rare times when all four final members of One Direction are on the airplay charts. In addition to Harry, Liam Payne has a Christmas song on AC, Louis Tomilson has a single on Pop and Niall Horan has “Nice To Meet You” on the three mainstream charts. “Nice to Meet You” achieves a milestone this week by going top 40 on AC.
Also on AC, we see Pentatonix move into the top 15 with “Do You Hear…?” featuring Whitney Houston. Another Christmas song that is back this year is Danny Gokey’s “The Prayer” featuring Natalie Grant. The song returns to the top 40 on CAC.
Finally, we have Fantasia. “PTSD” featuring Tank & The Bonfyre moves into the top 20 on UAC.
