Monday Morning Mediabase 11/01/2021

Three milestones this week to kick off November.

“If I Didn’t Love You” spends a second week on the top of the Country chart. The song is from Jason Aldean’s latest album and is a collaboration with Season 4 Idol Winner Carrie Underwood.

From Season 10 of Idol, we see runner-up Lauren Alaina enter the top 30ith her collaboration. “Getting Over Him” is with John Pardi. While Lauren had early success, she has struggled to replicate it over the years. It can be tough on Country radio where only a few female voices are allowed at the top of the charts at a time.

Also from American Idol is Jax (Season 14). Jax became popular on TikTok and her “Like My Father” goes top 40 on HAC this week.

Also of note is Liam Payne has popped back up on AC radio with his “Strip That Down”. It was his first solo single after One Direction and was released in 2017.

Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” ascends back to the number 2 spot (8th last week) on the BB200 with 42K in equivalent album sales (+1%) over last week).
