Monday Morning Mediabase 07/30/2018

Three milestones this last Monday of July.

Daughtry (featuring American Idol Chris Daughtry as the lead singer and main focal point) released their new album “Cage to Rattle” on Friday. It is their 5th studio album and they are predicted to have one of the top debuts of the week. This week also marks their debut single from that album, “Deep End” moving into top 30 on HAC.

Over on CAC we have another popular American Idol contestant who did not win the show. Season 8’s Danny Gokey has carved out a career for himself on CAC. This week, “If You Ain’t It” goes top 40 on CAC.

Finally, we have Normani from X-Factor US. This Fifth Harmony member is having success on the solo front with “Love Lies” from the movie soundtrack from “Love, Simon”. The song moves into the top 10 of Pop. It is also currently top 10 on Rhythmic and top 40 on HAC.

  4. That’s what I was saying/questioning. Was wondering if RockReigns had info that was different than HDDs.

  5. What’s your source that it’s set to debut at #3? And on which chart?
    According to HDD, it’s the 2nd highest debut. So it “may be” #2 on the Album Sales Chart, if no other non-debut album sells more. On the Billboard 200 there may be quite a few albums with more than that in streaming.

  6. Daughtry’s Cage to Rattle is excellent. Best effort since Leave This Town (sophomore release).

  7. Pledge Music:
    Bea Miller = 1,290 fans = gained 3 fans
    Fantasia = 652 fans = lost 2 fans
    In Real Life = 109 fans = gained 1 fan
    Karl Loxley = 104 pledgers ; 34% = gained 2 pledgers (38 days left)

  8. HDD is predicting 22-25K s+s; 20-23k sales…no indication of where that will fall on either the BB 200 or album sales chart. on last weeks chart that would have landed somewhere between 12-9 on BB 200. But those are pretty good numbers for a rock band that hasn’t released a new album in a while. I’m gonna say it will get a top 10 debut, but not top 5. If it misses top 10 it will prolly just barely miss
