Four milestones this Monday Morning in May.
Gabby Barrett achieves yet another number one. “I Hope” had previously gone number one on Country, Pop and HAC. Now, it is also rings the bell on AC for a total of four (five across two songs). “I Hope” was first released before Gabby even had a label agreement and has gone onto broad success. Returning to the top 40 on AC is Normani’s “Love Lies”.
Gabby’s home platform is Country radio which sees two milestones this week. Survivor brought more attention Chase Rice’s way and he has been able to capitalize on it. His collaboration with Florida Georgia Line called “Drinkin’ Beer, Tallkin’ God, Amen” has gone top 20 out Country. Ingrid Andress from The Voice goes top 40 on Country with “Lady Like”. “Lady Like” is the title track and third single released from her 2020 album.
Colton Dixon from the 11th season of Idol goes top 40 this week with his latest single “Made to Fly”. This song may be on his TBA upcoming album.
Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” stays still at number 3 on the BB200 with 53K in equivalent album sales (-2% from last week).
