Monday Morning Mediabase: 03/06/2017

Five milestones to celebrate this week on the Monday Mediabase Report.

The CAC charts features three milestones all on its own. Season 8’s Danny Gokey tops the chart with “Rise” – the single that shares its title with his album. Jasmine Murray, also from Season 8, goes top 15 with “Fearless” while Season 5’s Mandisa roars into the top 40 with Unfinished. Jasmine is new to the genre, Danny is establishing himself as a solid hitmaker in the genre and Mandisa is a staple in the genre.

Niall Horan may have been a solid hitmaker as part of One Direction, but success as a solo artist is not guaranteed. He gets his first top 5 on a radio airplay chart this week with “This Town” entering the top 5 on HAC. Also from the UK XF franchise are Little Mix who enter the Pop harts in the top 50 at “Touch”. They have ore success in the UK than the US.

Pentatonix return their version of “Hallelujah” top the top 30 on AC.

Future makes history replacing himself on the top of the BB200 with his second debut in as many weeks.
