Minnie Driver, star of the NBC comedy, About a Boy, has been cast as the adult Wendy and the narrator in the upcoming Peter Pan Live!
In addition, the hour-long special, The Making of Peter Pan Live will give a behind-the-scenes look at the production and will air on NBC, November 26, at 8/7c PM.
Peter Pan Live! starring Allison Williams and Christopher Walken will be broadcast LIVE on NBC December 4.

“The Making of Peter Pan Live!” to Air Nov. 26, Offers a Look Behind the Scenes of the Highly Anticipated Event
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – November 5, 2014 – Oscar, Emmy, Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe nominee Minnie Driver will serve as narrator and adult Wendy Darling in NBC’s highly anticipated telecast of “Peter Pan Live!” set for Thursday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
Driver, who is currently co-star of NBC’s Tuesday comedy “About a Boy,” was Emmy nominated earlier this year for her role in the Lifetime movie “Return to Zero.” Her previous role in FX’s “The Riches” earned Driver both an Emmy and Globe nomination and her supporting role in the critically acclaimed feature film “Good Will Hunting” gave Driver both an Oscar and two SAG nominations.
Driver is also a recognized recording artist. Her most recent album, “Ask Me to Dance,” features songs written by Stevie Wonder, Neil Young and John Prine.
“We’re thrilled to have Minnie as part of this ‘Peter Pan’ adventure,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. “She appears in the final emotional scene when Peter returns to the Darling home years later only to realize Wendy is now grown up and has a daughter of her own, but you’ll also hear her voice throughout the movie since Adult Wendy is also our narrator. In other “Pan”-related news, NBC will telecast “The Making of Peter Pan Live!” on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The hourlong special will go behind the scenes and give viewers an inside look at the incredible teamwork it takes to put this enormous television event together. From casting to dress rehearsals, from costume designs to learning to fly, from watching the actors hit their marks to sword fighting, this is an all-access pass to whet viewers’ appetites for all things “Peter Pan Live!”
Girls” star Allison Williams will play the title role in “Peter Pan Live!” while Oscar winner and Emmy and Tony nominee Christopher Walken will star as the villainous Captain Hook. Christian Borle will play both Smee, the dastardly right-hand to Captain Hook, as well as George Darling, the no-nonsense father of the Darling children. Five-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O’Hara co-stars as Mrs. Darling.
“Peter Pan Live!” will be executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
