Spicey’s back! Melissa McCarthy returned to Saturday Night Live (May 13) to host for her fifth time. She reprised her hilarious take on White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, perhaps for the last time. Rumor has it Trump is about to shake up the White House communications department after this week’s self-inflicted Comey debacle. Indeed, the skit ends with Alec Baldwin as Trump and a Godfather-like touch.
The show opened, however, with Alec Baldwin as Trump sitting for an outrageous self-sabotaging interview with Lester Holt (Michael Che). The actual interview was so bonkers, it must have been a real challenge for the SNL writers to satirize. But they manage.
A couple of extras: Amazon Echo for old people (OMG) and Steve Martin makes an appearance to welcome Melissa into the “5 timers” club.
