Congrats go to X Factor UK winner, Matt Cardle who nabbed the UK Christmas #1 with his cover of Biffy Clyro’s “When We Collide”.
On his #1, Matt says, “I can’t believe it. As if winning wasn’t enough. I honestly didn’t think I’d even make it on to the live shows, let alone win and now be the Christmas number one.
“I can’t even begin to describe how if feels. It’s nuts, crackers and crazy. To think that many people have supported me and bought the record is absolutely mind blowing.”
Although there were several Facebook campaigns that battled to keep Matt from the Top spot, only the campaign for the Trashman’s “Surfin’ Bird” came close, making it to #3.
Last year, Rage Against the Machine fans successfully grabbed the #1 spot away from Joe McElderry.
Check out how Matt stacks up against all the X Factor UK winner’s singles, after the jump.
