American Idol judge, Mariah Carey, wore one of her typically tight dresses to her GMA summer concert series performance today, and just as she was set to begin, the back of her Versace dress popped open.
Mariah, a tad embarrassed, but taking the unexpected wardrobe malfunction in stride, twirled to show the audience the back of her broken dress. “What should we call this,” joked Mariah as the host grabbed the straps of the singer’s outfit to keep “the girls” in place, “the Central Park saga?”
As a wardrobe person scurried to the stage to fuss with the back of her dress, Mariah cracked, “Hey, I’ll just hold them up the whole time!” Helpfully, the host held up her notes to protect from any possible embarrassing reveals.
Eventually, the show went to commercial to allow Mariah to “adjust” and all was well when they returned from break.
