Luke Bryan Talks ‘What Makes You Country’ Album & How He’s ‘The Voice for the Common Man’ on ‘American Idol’ Reboot – “I think it’s kind of fun for me to be the voice for the common man, the good old boys out there,” he says with a smile. “I’ve been around the block and I’ve been to the big cities, the small towns. I tour the big cities, and then I go do Farm Tour and tour those [cities]. I’ve got a pretty good overall read on culture and society … I try to be a well-rounded music listener and certainly a music artist. But I think I can be the voice of your Nebraska farmer out there sittin’ at home watching Idol. There will be times too that some of the people that have stereotypes that may have a preconceived notion of what I may say, I may totally blow their mind because I may surprise you on some stuff. I think as the show goes on, my character on that show will develop even more.” – Read more at Billboard

The golden-ish blond-ish brown,” Levine replied. But asked whether he thought his daughter would ever grow up to be “a mini Miley,” Cyrus told Levine to “cross your fingers and hope to God that is not true!” Levine however, laughed at the idea, before adding that Dusty is already “very bossy.” “Call my dad and ask him what it’s like to have a Miley of your own. He’s gonna say ‘See these wrinkles on my forehead? These weren’t here until 1992,’” Cyrus added. – Read more at People

The new Blood, Sweat & Tears to play The Paramount – But now Colomby is looking for much more as he develops Blood, Sweat & Tears into a contemporary voice, one that reaches beyond a single, nostalgic audience. “I no longer want to target just one generation. That would be a mistake,” Colomby says. “With this updated version, I want this band to gain recognition with a wider audience. I want people of all ages to experience what this music has to offer.” During the early years of the FOX-TV hit “American Idol,” Colomby received many phone calls from friends telling him to check out singer Bo Bice, saying he was a fresh voice and that he did a masterful job singing “Spinning Wheel.”
“Many of my more musically knowledgeable buddies also suggested that I ask Bo to join the band,” Colomby said. “I’m pleased to say that that’s exactly what happened and by the reaction of audiences worldwide it was a great match.” – The Island Now
