Nevermind what it says on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno website. I’ve learned from a good source that Lee DeWyze will NOT be singing a song from his pre-Idol album, Slumberland, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno when he appears on Friday June 25.
My source asked Lee specifically, at yesterday’s American Idols Live tour press day if he’d be singing a pre-Idol song when he hits the Tonight Show stage next week, and he denied it. Lee said he’d be singing a different song, but would not say which one.
So, that was an interesting concept to ponder, wasn’t it? But it’s not to be.
On a sidenote, according to a video interview from yesterday’s press conference via the Examiner, Lee will be singing 6-song set on tour, including “Treat Her Like A Lady. He says he’s re-arranged all the songs for his new set.
