Kris Allen Talks About His New Songs with Yahoo Music – Part 1

Just as I was finishing up my Kris Allen radio interview round-up, I found this brand-new video interview from Lyndsey Parker of Yahoo Music.

Video: Exclusive First Look at New ...
Video: Exclusive First Look at New Song From BLISS THE MUSICAL

Lyndsey had the privileged of listening to 7 new songs from Kris’s upcoming album, and in the interview, she talks Kris through the songs she heard.

Kris talks about, adjusting to co-writing, working with collaborators in the studio, and why he’s OK with his first single being a cover. He tells a funny story about working with Eg White in London.

Kris wrote or co-wrote 9 of the 12 songs on the album and is satisfied with the creative input he had on the album. Kris’s self-titled album will be available everywhere November 17. You can pre-order it on iTunes November 3.

Part 2 of the interview will be posted tomorrow.

  1. Not gonna lie, I just like watching Kris talk :) Very cool that he felt he was able to stay true to himself during this process (Let The Rain notwithstanding).

    Bring on Part 2!

  2. I love the interview with Lyndsey, great stuff. Loved hearing how short, yikes! he had with each person to create new songs. I liked getting some insight into the songs as well. The one with Eg White is one of the ones I’m looking forward to the most, so interesting to hear about Kris’s working with him and seems like it went well with the writing and the details like the tiny basement and mad scientist thing. Sounds like Eg White and RedOne would be some interesting people to hear more from. And shallow note, Kris looked so presh despite the seriously bad hair. I mean really, what is up with his hair lately? He needs some stylists around him, stat!

  3. And shallow note, Kris looked so presh despite the seriously bad hair. I mean really, what is up with his hair lately?

He looks sleepy with a bit of bedhead going on… maybe he was napping on Simon’s couch before the interview :D

The more I know, the more I want to know… kind of annoying! I’m especially anxious for tomorrow’s part since Lindsey Parker tweeted that Kris will be commenting on the 4 songs she didn’t hear… of course, knowing Kris it will all be vague and ninja stealth.

  4. Heheh. I like the hair. The whole rumpled, just out of bed thing. Oops, there I go again.

  5. She also said his going to say what he thinks of Adam And Allison songs.

  6. I think this confirms that the Mat Kearney song is on the album – he wouldn’t bring up Mat if it weren’t. (YAY).

Looking forward to the rest tomorrow when the remaining songs are revealed. I hope Lyndsey gets it up first thing tomorrow!

  7. Whenshe says there songs does that mean the one’s from there albums or just there singles.

  8. I’m amused to see the discussion progress onto “the hair”. I see it as a sign that he’s “made it”. (Perspective of a David Cook fan involved in many a hair debate.) LOL

  9. Shallow items:

Hair – love it. New shirt – good. And LOL that he’s comfortable enough in his own skin to sit cross-legged on Simon Fuller’s couch. Intimidated? Not so much.

  10. Good point, wordnerdarchie, with the comb over. Interestingly, Kris’s hair has remained virtually the same until recently (not digging the new, more glossy situation), whereas Adam and Allison’s have not. Just don’t grow a beard, Kris, please…a little stubble, fine, but THAT’S IT (ala Cook). Keep your hair a big disheveled. And lay the plaid to rest.

  11. The bit of stubble is okay, I agree w/you suebrody. It’s the weird stache that bothers me when it happens. And if he ever goes borderline beard like Cookie did I will lol, it would be so wrong.

W/the hair it’s better w/a little length on it for Kris, when it was shorter like eaaarly in the season he looked really, really young.

  12. I’m amused to see the discussion progress onto ‘the hair’ . I see it as a sign that he’s ‘made it’ . (Perspective of a David Cook fan involved in many a hair debate.) LOL

That or I just dragged everyone into the shallow end. I comment sometimes on hair, clothes, whatever. I blame my Project Runway watching (though this season is sucking) to wanting to critque people’s overall looks. With Kris I don’t have to worry if he used accesories from the Macy’s wall, thoughtfully. Because aside from some necklaces and friendship bracelet types deals, it typically doesn’t come up.

But if we use discussing hair as a measurement of making it, Kris made it a while ago when people discussed his thinning/balding hair and yes, that definitely is a Cook type discussion, as I understand. I don’t know, haven’t been here long enough, not a Cook stan.

  13. I loved the Lyndsey Parker interview!!!! It is so interesting listening to Kris talk about making this album and all he went through. I can tell he has a certain standard that he tried to hold to and that music means so much to him! LOL, I think I heard a little competitive side of him for the first time with the fact that DC wrote 10 songs on the album and he only did nine. HOWEVER, this is nothing to sneeze at considering the fact that DC has had a longer writing history than Kris. I’m so proud of him. :) I can just imagine what his mom is feeling, as well as Katie!!! I hope the second on is just as interesting and look forward to seeing it.

I brought my comment over from the previous thread.

  14. I’m amused to see the discussion progress onto ‘the hair’ . I see it as a sign that he’s ‘made it’ . (Perspective of a David Cook fan involved in many a hair debate.) LOL

LOL wordnerdarchie! I immediately thought of DC hair when I read those comments!

  15. Nice interview and looking forward to Part 2 tomorrow. He is so unpretentious…like when he said “I just spit” and the camera panned down LOL. He cracks me up with how he seemingly just blurts out whatever is on his mind–except for details on things like songs, videos, etc. Then he can be very closed mouth, though you can tell he’s dying to spill his guts!

  16. I love the way his hair likes. And I just love his sleepy look.

  17. I love the way his hair likes. And I just love his sleepy look.

I think Kris’s more recent look has been pretty darn sleepy. Not like he has an eleborate do he does, it’s all pretty casual. I just think this longer, side part stuff is looking bad nerdy, as opposed to nerd/geek chic. I mean not as bad as when he started AI, in the few shots of him, but not as good as it recently had been. Boy needs some stylists. But given his past reticence with that, maybe he’s enjoying this time he has now before when 19 gets him to do tons of TV interviews and such in support of his album. hmmmm. That or he’s just reverting back to his bad hair days of yore.

Oh and this post was entirely too shallow (can you tell I’m getting antsy for the next PR episode that will enrage me?) so yeah, looking forward to part 2 of this interview and Kris talking about the 4 songs Lyndsey didn’t hear.

  18. I love this interview. For the first time, he is free to say whatever he wants about the music on the album. It is clear he is really excited about it, and proud of his writing contribution. I love the cross-legged sitting, the outing of the Hello Kitty notepad, and the general lack of self-consciousness.

  19. Now that I actually listened to the interview, I’ll comment about something other than hair. But I agree that Kris looks a bit sleepy and didn’t seem to do much with his appearance rather than roll out of bed. But I kind of like that look, heh.

This was a very good interview, very informative and Kris came off as cool & relaxed. It’s wonderful that he managed to get 9 co-writes on his album. Good job Kris. I chuckled since it was obviously something important to him that DC had 10. (Actually DC had 11 or 12 depending on which version of the physical CD fans bought, but Kris wouldn’t know that – he probably bought the I-Tunes version – not pre-order.) Which brings to mind the question…will Jive put more than one version of the CD out depending on vendor, like RCA did with DC? Will there be bonus tracks?

I haven’t seen the track listing with writers, so did any songs written with Mat Kearney make the final cut? I hope so, since I really like Mat’s songs.

  20. You know, I hadn’t even noticed Kris’s hair until it was mentioned here as I was so engrossed in what Kris was saying about the music from his album!! I don’t think its so bad & at least he hasn’t covered it with a hat or beanie!!!!!
Yes it is so good to hear Kris being open about his music & the songs !! Before you could tell he was being careful not to give anything away!!
The true laid back Kris is coming through now . I am glad to see him so happy & excited about what he is doing!!
Can’t wait for the second part !!

  21. I haven’t seen the track listing with writers, so did any songs written with Mat Kearney make the final cut? I hope so, since I really like Mat’s songs.

The final cuts of songs hasn’t been announced yet. In one of the radio interviews in another mj post just below this one, Kris mentions that they weren’t quite done choosing the last few songs. I think that interview was a day ago from today. But sounds like from that interview the decision will be made soon, and then shared soon.

But yes, we don’t know if the Mat Kearney co-write made the cut, but as some have speculated here, that why would Kris be sharing working with Mat so much if it hadn’t? Hmmm. And the Mat Kearney song was the one that Jim Cantiello said he liked the most (of the ones he heard) but I don’t think Jim C. had the exposure to as much music as Lyndsey here seems to. And yes, I’m almost as jellus as I imagine Jim C is.

  22. It’s so good to see him exuding so much confidence, he is incredibly talented, anyone who has worked with him or heard his music knows it, and it’s nice to see him acknowledge it. It’s also good to see that he has learned that he can acknowledge his talent and still be humble.

I ove the outlook that he has towards music, and how he won’t compromise his vision.

  23. Loved this interview. I’m so excited to hear the album! I have to say, I love the tousled hair and the bedroomy eyes. It makes me think of naughty things.

  24. Wow! I love to see that he has became more comfortable in his interviews! He seems so relaxed and happy in this video. I just hope he doesn’t get in the habit of sitting cross legged during interviews, it is a little distracting. I had to listen to it twice :}

I can not wait until his album comes out on 11/17!!!

  25. I love Kris the person and his voice — especially the lower register. I hope he reads this because I want him to know that it is often difficult to understand what he is saying both when he speaks and when he sings. He “swallows his words” and mumbles…like an apologetic country boy. I used to tell my students to “stand up straight! Breathe deep! Move your lips and REALLY form the words! Stop apologizing for existing! Success is yours…take it!” That’s what I would like to tell Kris. I hope when he goes on tour with those great songs, he throws his shoulders back, breathes all the way down to his guts and kicks ass because he actually IS good.

  26. Nice guy – but not much interest in his music (is he actually taking voice lessons?) – give it a listen though and see if it’s any better than single.

  27. Lookin very comfortable in Mr. Fuller’s office there Kris. :) Really looking forward to the album.

  28. I’ll take a seat at the “that was really boring” table and apparently it’s a party of one tonight.

He bores me to tears when he speaks and I’m not sure if it’s because like Beverly said he so difficult to understand or just because he seems to lack a spark.

If that is excited for Kris then wow he really is laid back to the point of almost being on a coma.

That 15 minutes seemed like 30 to me.

That said, I like his voice and can’t wait to hear the songs.

  29. i liked the depth of those questions and answers. i’m happy that he feels good with the album.

  30. He bores me to tears when he speaks and I’m not sure if it’s because like Beverly said he so difficult to understand or just because he seems to lack a spark.

Kris has a real problem with mumbling when interviewing. I listen to everything these days through my SkullCandy headphones, but when just listening to Kris on TV or regular speakers, he could be a bit difficult to understand in spots.

That all being said, I actually disagree. I didn’t think that Kris mumbled that much in this interview. I personally disagree that he was boring, though of course, MMV and that’s cool. He was really engaged in the music, and describing it, which was great. But also had some nice humorous spots like outting Lyndsey’s Hello Kitty notepad, or making fun of himself for spitting. Or my personal fave which was funny and about music, which was the stuff about Eg White in his tiny laboratory, er, basement studio.

  31. I’ve never seen Kris get this excited before during interviews! So I just loved this interview and can’t wait for part 2!

  32. Jim Cantiello and Slezak must be green with envy now. All those flailing didn’t get them into listening party? LOL.

  33. Yeah I thought he was really good here, just sounded sleepy. I loved the story about Eg White and the hello kitty also. Tomorrow well know what’s on the whole cd. And also Lyndsey tweeted also that Kris is going to talk about Adam and Allisons stuff too.

  34. I’ve never seen Kris get this excited before during interviews! So I just loved this interview and can’t wait for part 2!

what? this is excited Kris? LOL.

Well to me, Kris doesn’t show a whole lot of emotions usually (other than when he was trying to be funny) and this is the first time that I really see excitment in him. :)

  36. I felt like Kris actually exuded confidence in this interview, albeit a quiet confidence.

  37. So, how old is Lyndsey and why does she get to have this amazing job? I am jealous! Oh ya, Kris sounds great but looks and sounds exhausted!

  38. Lyndsey is a good interviewer. Kris comes off well and lots of great insight into him musically! I really think he album is going to be good. :D

  39. He seems to be very confident in the quality of his allbum.. good!
love his quiet confidence, the cross legged sitting, the hello kitty stuff, the Egg White anecdote. His hair are allright for me but he should learn to have them hot on a daily basis especially when he has promotion stuff to do.
When you think about it, it’s something to have such time constraints to write songs, .. a day..2hours… what!? Glad he was up to this challenge and i’m dying to hear this stuff.
Matt Kearny was really impressed with him, that bodes well. Hope we got to hear that song. I wonder which songs Jim C. listened to; so in his case i guess it was worthed to flail aroud about Kris :)
I don’t like people always excited just for the sake of looking excited and it’s laid back attitude is indeed very exciting for me ;) . But you feel his happiness and his excitement at what he does though.
Looking forward to part 2; want to know about the 4 other songs

  40. Kris comes off as very excited and happy in this interview. Not everyone shows excitement in the same way. He was funny and he related some interesting stories.

  41. Jim Cantiello and Slezak must be green with envy now. All those flailing didn’t get them into listening party? LOL.

I think Slezak and Jim already listened to some of Kris’ songs, maybe not as many as Lyndsay did. When Slezak’s interviewed with Kris 3 weeks ago after z100 debut, he mentioned he heard four songs; and Jim keeps tweet-teasing he heard a secret song of Kris.

ETA but they could be green because they were not allowed to gush over the songs in their blogs. What is more intolerable than not able to share a secret?

  42. I agree with Girlygirl. Kris seems very excited for Kris, but may not seem OTT excited like other people. I like the fact that he totally lacks a poker face and you can see all of his emotions on his face. These emotions also come through in his songs. Kris’s music is the type of music that I love, so I am very happy that he was able to put out an album that he is proud of.

  43. Hmmm.. now that I think about it, I bet the secret song that Jim heard was through Mat Kearney during his interview with Mat about the collaboration. Afterall that secret song Jim kept teasing about is the one that Kris co-write with Mat Kearney. Just a thought…

  44. I used to tell my students to ‘stand up straight! Breathe deep! Move your lips and REALLY form the words! Stop apologizing for existing! Success is yours’ ¦take it!’ That’s what I would like to tell Kris.

How many of your students won American Idol? I think he’s good just as he is.

  45. Hmmm.. now that I think about it, I bet the secret song that Jim heard was through Mat Kearney during his interview with Mat about the collaboration. Afterall that secret song Jim kept teasing about is the one that Kris co-write with Mat Kearney. Just a thought’ ¦

    It makes sense!
Jim C. should tell us which other 3 he heard (if in Lyndsey’s list through)

  46. I will be suprised if Mat Kearney’s collaboration doesn’t make it after all the interview he gave. That said, I think the last 4 songs are the best of all and the reason why they’re revealing them last.
So far, the ones we know, were not even mentioned too much by Kris. My bet is Daughtry, Mat Kearney, Alex Band or Switchfoot and Kris’ solo.

  47. Loved this interview and can’t wait for part 2. I really enjoy listening to Kris speak. I know he’s been criticized in the past for awkward interview skills, but I truly believe he’s one of those individuals who respond best to intelligent questions and comments from interviewers who have done their homework and want to have a fresh dialogue with him, rather than simply re-hashing the same tired topics.

Though he looks sleepy in this video (he must be exhausted from the punishing schedule he’s had to maintain over the past month to complete the album), he’s clearly paying close attention to everything Lyndsey Parker is saying.

A 2 hour writing session may seem to be a severe time constraint but people often do their best work while under some pressure. Having unlimited time for a project sometimes stifles creativity. I’m really looking forward to all the new songs and the subsequent tour. Hope he comes to Toronto.

As for the hair… love it.

  48. Kris is obviously happy with the way the album turned out which makes me happy. He has no poker face whatsoever so if he was unsure about the album or felt he had been forced to compromise too much, it would have been “written all over his face.”

I agree with others who say he was showing a lot of confidence in this interview. He even tooted his own horn a little bit when he was talking about how others (like Matt Kearney) were impressed with his writing ability. He was still humble as always, but not so humble he completely discounted his own talents. Good to see.

Hmmm.. now that I think about it, I bet the secret song that Jim heard was through Mat Kearney during his interview with Mat about the collaboration. Afterall that secret song Jim kept teasing about is the one that Kris co-write with Mat Kearney. Just a thought’ ¦

Yes, this is what I’ve been thinking although I kept thinking it was the song, “I Need to Know”, but probably not.

  50. He even tooted his own horn a little bit when he was talking about how others (like Matt Kearney) were impressed with his writing ability.

THIS, yess! For one time he puts himself a bit in the spotlight, ..totally agree. And it was done in a cute way with an anecdote. Maybe he was told to polish a bit how he comes out promotion wise before his album is released

  51. the only thing that bothers me about his hair is that he’s starting to loose them. I wish he will do some hair transplant to fix what he already lost and will continue to take good care of them. He’s too young for baldness now

  52. oh wow! the wonderfulness of yesterday is spilling over to today as well :)

awww watching a sleepy kris early this morning is a good sign that the day will be good! off to watch the vid now

  53. Hmmm.. now that I think about it, I bet the secret song that Jim heard was through Mat Kearney during his interview with Mat about the collaboration. Afterall that secret song Jim kept teasing about is the one that Kris co-write with Mat Kearney. Just a thought’ ¦

Yes, this is what I’ve been thinking although I kept thinking it was the song, ‘I Need to Know’ , but probably not.

These are separate songs (if I remember washpd’s post), and it was the Mat Kearney one that Jim C. heard (again, as per washpd’s post in a previous thread).

ETA: taking some relevant stuff from washpd’s post, (yay, my memory isn’t completely shot!)

I Need To Know (a Kris solo write, I believe), one of the Joe King co-writes, the Mat Kearney co-write, and the Jon Foreman co-write. ….
(BTW, Jim Cantiello DM’d me to tell me that the secret song he’s been referring to is the one he believes was co-written by Kris and Mat Kearney, but that he hasn’t been able to confirm that.)

and Jim Tweeted that “FYI – I have not heard “I Need to Know.” Chew on THAT!” So different songs.

  54. Great interview, Kris seemed really comfortable talking to Lindsey. He looked like he’d taken a nap on that couch, then just sat up and started talking when the interview started. Simon Fuller must like Kris to let him nap on his couch, LOL.

  55. the only thing that bothers me about his hair is that he’s starting to loose them. I wish he will do some hair transplant to fix what he already lost and will continue to take good care of them. He’s too young for baldness now

    I think Kris looks fine.

  56. ok it took me an hour or so listening to this…in between phone calls, and meetings and writing emails…finally got through it…

i’m super excited that in the end we get a kris-ified album which personifies who he is and I think more than the tour or the interviews or even the adorable random tweets, listening to his songs will give us a greater insight of who kris really is…his thought process, his ideas on love and life, his experiences…ooh i cant wait!

the two songs i’m most excited about is Red Guitar (which he didnt talk about sadly) and Bring It Back.

and wow! i lovvveeee the pink/peach tshirt cos he looks so young and fresh and i cant believe he’s only 2 yrs younger to me. feel like pinching his cheeks hehe.

  57. so of the remaining four songs, we have the mat kearney co-write and I Need To Know?

  58. This boy’s shizzatt had best be tight. Really tight. Becuz with Kris, brilliant music might mean 700K-1M, but mediocre stuff will mean Blake Lewis-type numbers-500K. Let’s face it, he’s got a few obstacles to overcome: next-to-zero internet hype, a total lack of media buza and about as much personality, star power and charisma as my pet rock. Best of luck to him. Seems like a nice guy.

  59. You know how on SYTYCD the dancers have the hmv move? Would this be Kris’ hmb move?

  60. the only thing that bothers me about his hair is that he’s starting to loose them. I wish he will do some hair transplant to fix what he already lost and will continue to take good care of them. He’s too young for baldness now

Whoa, he’s balding already? Umm, that might be bad, I think Daniel said he’s balding too.

  61. Meh…balding happens. I’m 21 and I’m losing my hair much more quickly than I ever wanted to. I knew it was going to happen eventually but it’s depressing. I’m trying to get over it but it’s not easy lol. Someday maybe I can get a hair transplant

Kris’s hair isn’t actually that bad. It’s hard for me to tell because I don’t often look at really old pictures of him, but he doesn’t seem to be in serious danger of losing too much too quickly. It still looks fine.

  62. i love this guy. it’s so great to have an idol i feel like i can fully relate to. can’t wait to hear the album, and i hope it does incredibly well.

  63. Oh Yes,…I’m so happy to see the media machine start to take notice of
BB Kris. Loved Lyndsey’s take on his pieces!!!!
Sounds like he may have more than one HIT in the mix. So proud of Kris for co-writing or writing 9 of the 12. He is an artist and I believe he has taken his art to the next level by being so authentic. Also kudos to him for being smart enough to brush up on his vocal skills,…very smart.!!!
I`m looking forward to buying his album for my partner, who said he was her favorite of S8!!!! For me GO KRADISON!!!!!!!!!!!!

  64. With Kris sitting that way, he looks as if he’s conversing with a friend, chillin’. Yup, just hanging out in Fuller’s office. Lol.

  65. I was just on Walmarts website looking for Kris CD and they have some tracks of Kris listed it has 13 songs on the list track with 6 songs listed and there’s two that I don’t think was listed yet. They were calledLifetime, and can’t remember if this was one of the titles Lyndsey listed but it’s called Is It Over. Also on the one that is Exclusive album from there it has 14 and that one is Called Send me all your Angels.

  66. Kris is so calm that he could be one of those astronauts that land on the moon or something. Good for him to get nine writing credits on his album!

  67. Kris comes across well in this interview. He seems confident about his new songs and seems comfortable with Lindsey. He is a mellow kind of guy, but when he speaks, you can feel that he really cares about writing music.

  68. Bald guys are hot! Daughtry, anyone?

Somehow I don’t think Kris bald would = Daughtry bald. There is a difference between bald on purpose, which Daughtry is, and bald cuz you’ve lost your hair.

Kris’ face is too pretty IMO to pull off the bald look whereas Daughtry looks kind of rough and a lil sinister.

  69. ilovekrisallen39 good catch!

  70. I’ll get the shallow out of the way. I happen to love Kris’ tousled hair look. If he was all styled and slick he wouldn’t be Kris Allen. I have no problem with thinning hair on men. Some of the sexiest and virile men I’ve known have had early hair loss. Many men (young and older) keep their hair close cropped or completely shaved. And there are always hats to keep a head warm or protected from the sun …. and I LOVE hats!

I do get the feeling that for many of these interviews they just got him out of bed or a cat nap and we’re getting to see him ‘wake up’. Given his schedule, this isn’t surprising. At the beginning of this interview, we see him stifle a yawn, rub some sleep from an eye, and :::snicker::: spit on Simon Fuller’s couch. The ‘Hello Kitty’ reveal was hilarious and for me was like ‘You can make or break me with this article/interview video and you keep your notes on a pre-teen notepad.’

I love how he is so comfortable in himself and in this interview to sit cross legged in the boss’ office. There is no pretension with him.

I’m happy to see that Kris is making the transition from being in awe of the people he’s meeting and working with to being a peer. He is gaining in confidence and belief in himself and learning that it is OK to speak positively about your own work.

When Kris wakes up he’s so darn comfortable and amiable. He is so obviously into the music. I especially liked what he said of Pop music – you have to appeal to the masses but for him, pop and rock also has to be good. Lots of musical integrity with this guy.

I can’t wait to watch Part 2 of the interview and I’m more than excited to hear the songs on the album.

Off note – Very odd that Walmart doesn’t have ‘Live Like We’re Dying’ in the track listings or a picture associated with the album.

  71. Yeah I wonder why the picture of Kris is missing to. And why didn’t they put LLWD. I agree with you TwigLA on all that you said above. I wonder if part two well be up before the first part was yesterday or if sooner. I really want to hear it so bad. Did you guy’s see Kris was on Fox and Friends today by statalight(sorry about spelling) and had a cheerleader on each side of him nothing new thou. But he looked so not comfortable at all. And the interviewer was so boring.

Somehow I don’t think Kris bald would = Daughtry bald. There is a difference between bald on purpose, which Daughtry is, and bald cuz you’ve lost your hair.

Actually, rattleandhum, Daughtry did shave his head because of very early hair loss. I think that was something the world learned about him in his AI auditions.

I agree with you on the Daughtry sinister look – but it’s more facial expression than hair or lack of. Kris couldn’t look sinister if he tried.

I don’t know how Kris would look completely bald, but I do know he looks hot in hats. Of course, my ears don’t have eyes and my brain takes me to personal life and experiences when I’m listening to music.

My eyes happen to look at facial expressions … and hands. Kris has the most magnificent hands.

  73. I love how chill Kris appears to be. I see a sense of relief in him and at the same time a lot of excitement for the first time in a while. I am so excited to hear the CD.

And if we have to take the shallow route about his appearance, I’ll jump in. Love the hair (or lack-of), the criss- cross applesauce is so presh, the mumbly low sexy voice is to die for and Kris pointing out that he just spit cracks me up. How about the gun show? Wow !!! When does he have time to work out?

  74. I love Kris’s arms and his smile. When he smiles I really start melting. Do you think Is It Over might be the one with Daughtry. It so sounds like a Daughtry type title. Also Let It Rain title is different then the title Lyndsey gave she said it was called Let The Rain. It’s basically the same thou she just put in The and Walmart has It. Which sounds like it should go better when you say the Title.

  75. Yeah, everything TwigLA said for me too – both times. ITA about the hands – yeah.

Can’t wait for this music. Kris’ style —–> my wheelhouse.

I agree with you, nice guy but for me (for you) nothing much going on there, I think he needs to step it up a notch in the interview, performance, outfits department, he ´s young so he has a lot of time to develop that.

  77. LOL, what I find funny is that Kris is so adorable and good looking that there was plenty to discuss w/o any kind of extra “polish”. However, for me what stood out most was what he had to say in this interview.

  78. My eyes happen to look at facial expressions ‘ ¦ and hands. Kris has the most magnificent hands.

Um, yeah. Kris Allen has very nice hands…

I for one wouldn’t mind if Kris never “steps it up” in an interview. If his style evolves or changes, fine, but I want him to continue to be Kris. It seems to be working quite nicely for him.

Really looking forward to part two of the coral shir… er, I mean the interview.

  79. Really looking forward to part two of the coral shir’ ¦ er, I mean the interview.

hehe. i’m looking forward to part two of the tossled hair
