Kris Allen Wins “Nashville Man of The Year”
American Idol season 8 winner Kris Allen raised a ton of money for blood cancer research, winning him “Nashville Man of the Year” at a special event last night.
“With your help and support, Kris was able to raise over $90,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!!!” writes his wife Katy Allen on Instagram, “The entire Man and Woman of the Year event in Nashville was able to raise over $500,000! Tonight was a big night in the fight against blood cancer!!!”
Gabby Barrett Is Living a Dream on ‘American Idol’ – “The first season of American Idol I actually watched was with Carrie Underwood on it. And the year that she won, I watched it. And I remember my parents voting for her,” she recalled. “I always liked Carrie Underwood how she could sing country music and bring other people in country but she could also go on stage and sing a song with Steven Tyler, a rock song. ‘American Idol”: renewal virtually guaranteed on ABC – MJ Santilli, who covers “Idol” for her blog MJ’s Big Blog, noted that ABC guaranteed advertisers a 1.8 rating among 18 to 49 year olds including seven days of DVR usages.
