Kennedy Holmes The Voice 15 Audition
Here it is. The first contestant preview for The Voice season 15. Kennedy Holmes blows away the judges panel, turning all 4 chairs, for her mature rendition of “Turning Tables” by Adele.
When it’s coach Jennifer Hudson’s turn to address Kennedy, the young singer bursts into tears. She explains, “One of my first performances I sang “I am Changing.” She continues, “I’ve dreamed to sing with you.” Jennifer then offers, “I’m ready!” before joining Kennedy on stage to sing a bit of the song. “You are amazing. You are gifted,” Jennifer gushes. The duet is so sweet, even coach Kelly Clarkson tears up.
“Very very rarely does somebody come around that reignites our passion, says coach Adam Levine. “After 15 seasons, you actually could become the absolute biggest thing to ever come from this show.”
And coach Blake Shelton says, “I think you are the best vocalist that has auditioned this year.” He adds, “Your voice already sounds so seasoned and accomplished…I want you to pick me as your coach so you can teach me to sing like that.”
“You deserved every one of these chairs turning around,” says Kelly, “You sounded so beautiful.”
Who will Kennedy choose as her coach? It’s hard to imagine that she doesn’t pick Jennifer. But you’ll find out when The Voice season 15 premieres on NBC Monday September 24 at 8 pm ET/PT. As always, we’ll be live blogging every episode.
