“The War Is Over (You Don’t Deserve Me)” has Toby Gad and Livvi Franc listed as co-writers.
You might recall Kelly tweeting a couple of weeks ago that she was “finishing up in the studio” with Toby. She confirmed on her facebook that she and Toby “cut 2 songs for this record. Hope y’all like them!”
“The War Is Over” could be one of the cuts. That Kelly is listed as performer indicates the song was probably recorded or performed somewhere.
Co-writer Livvi Franc co-wrote Jordin Sparks’ “Walking On Snow” and “Overboard” by Marie Digby.
Toby Gad has written with and for several other Idols, including Lee DeWyze, Kris Allen and Jordin Sparks, and co-wrote the Fergie smash hit, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”.
“I’m finishing up the last few songs for my album this week which means it shouldn’t be too much longer …..finally!” Kelly recently tweeted, ” I will promise you though it’s gonna be worth the wait! I’ve worked with a lot of great people and I can’t wait to tour this album ….hell, I can’t wait to tour period!”

PS I record my last song on the 25th of this month and then we will be releasing the album! This album was influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there’s a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs.
Oh and also one of my favorites on the new album is highly influenced by Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Eric Hutchinson wrote it ….the album is gonna be a great pop record! I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!
