Kelly Clarkson took part in the America Celebrates July 4th at Ford’s Theatre, filmed on June 6. The show, hosted by Ty Burrell and featuring Renée Fleming, Montego Glover, Laura Michelle Kelly, Gavin Lee, George Lopez, Lionel Richie, Robin Roberts, and Dick Van Dyke aired on ABC tonight.

First Lady Michelle Obama served as the honorary chair of the gala celebration. She and President Obama were both in the audience.
The evening included the presentation of the Ford’s Theatre Lincoln Medal to South African human rights activists Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and Justice Albie Sachs.
