The MTV Video Music Award nominations were announced today, featuring only one Idol nomination–going to Season 1 winner, Kelly Kelly Clarkson.
Kelly’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” received a Best Female Video nod. Her competition, Lady Gaga and Beyonce lead the nominations with nine apiece. Also up for a Moonman are Britney Spears with 7 nominations, and Eminem, Coldplay and Kanye West with 4 apiece.
Russell Brand is set to host again, and with Season 6 Idol Jordin Sparks also set to attend, maybe we’ll be treated to round two of Nasty Boy vs the Virgin. We’ll see. Jordin has already thrown down the gauntlet…
The VMAs will air on MTV September 13.
