Check out Kelly Clarkson’s cool mashup of ‘Use Somebody’ by Kings of Leon and ‘ That I Would Be Good’ by Alanis Morissette performed last night at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT, where she kicked off her “All I Ever Wanted Tour”.

  1. What a voice. Wow. So good to see her performing again. What I wouldn’t give to see her and David Cook do a duet together.

  2. Kelly’s awesome. Too bad she isn’t coming near me on this tour! I want to see if I like some of the songs off her latest album a little better live (I wasn’t thrilled with the CD).

  3. Yay! I love Kelly! This sounds fantastic. I wish I could make it to her show when she comes near me, but NO MONEY. :( I just saw her in August though. :)

  4. I was thrilled with her album, and am unspeakably excited to see her at Agganis Arena in a couple weeks. My wallet is very happy that I had to work last night, or else I would have gone to Mohegan Sun too.

  5. To me she is still the best American Idol to this day…she is just fantastic. I get chills nearly every time I watch a performance by her

  6. Alrighty then Miss Clarkson…now you are dressing like a Star. Keep it up…lets get the look to match that fantastic voice and you’ll be a winner in my book.

    I know, I’m shallow!

  7. She’s one of a kind. At the top of her generation, for the very least. Rare musical intelligence, raw talent and great personality.

What I wouldn’t give to see her and David Cook do a duet together.

    OMG YES.

  8. Wow. That was beautiful, I love both of these songs, and with Kelly’s voice…goosebumps.

  9. She’s awesome! She sounded really good there. I wish she would go here to the Philippines, coz I just know she’d be INCREDIBLE live.

  10. Her voice is unbelievable, all the covers she does at shows are amazing. She’s the Best AI winner ever.

  11. I’m going to see her next week, can’t wait!!! I love this years idols, but Kelly is the best idol.

  12. That was aaaawwwwesooome!

I have the same feeling that I had after VH1 Divas, which is how I wish she could ditch the Ryan Tedder and Katy Perry material and team up with the ilk of Alanis, Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crowe for a round. She’s got so much substance and heart in her voice, which her current record doesn’t totally do justice too.

MLWSWY was fun but too much an attempt to replicate since U Been Gone. Her other two singles, she sings the heck out of them, but they sound like what they are–second rate material by industry names. But damn it, since I bought 2 out of the 3 singles, I guess the record industry is satisfied. Grrrr.

Would love some grittier, more heartfelt, less overproduced Kelly, singing like the grownup woman she is. Crossing fingers that the Melissa duet leads to some thoughts that way for her team.

  13. I’M SO F-ING PSYCHED, I’ll be seeing her, 2nd row! This setlist is epic. She’s so incredible live. Yaayyyy!!!

What I wouldn’t give to see her and David Cook do a duet together.

I would die. It was such a tease to see my two favorite Idols touring the fair circuit at the same time, and crossing paths, hitting up a lot of the same venues… and yet their dates would never be close enough for them to see each other. Major missed opportunity, universe! I hope it still happens one of these days. It’s my dream heh.

  14. She’s incredible, awesome, stupendous, and fabulous. I love Kelly.

  15. MJ and anyone else who has the opportunity, you definitely should go see Kelly Clarkson in concert! I saw her at the NYS Fair in August and it was outstanding. Her vocals are awesome, her band kicks ass, and it’s just plain fun to sing along on the hit songs and listen to her tear up the unfamiliar ones. She grabs the audience with the first note and never lets go. Best concert I’ve seen in a long, long time!

    Go, you won’t be sorry!

  16. That is my very favorite Alanis song and Kelly’s voice is just incredible. I’m not generally fond of Kelly’s material but I always loved her and her voice — just wish I could pick and choose what she sings, heh!

Oh I am SO with those who would love to see her sing with Cookie. How amazing that would be.

Thank you, MJ, for the awesome vid :)

  17. Could someone make an mp3 of this version? Much appreciated if anyone is able.
