By popular deman (an informal poll on twitter) here’s your royal baby post!
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and her husband Prince William on Monday welcomed their first child. A BOY! The little bundle of princely ljoy was born at 4:24 p.m., weighing 8 pounds 6 ounces.
Kate and William traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, his office at Clarence House announced at 7:37 a.m. Monday (2:37 a.m. ET.) this morning.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well,” read an official announcement that was placed outside Buckingham Palace.
“Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine, and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy,” Prince Charles and wife Camilla said in a statement.
A town crier announcing the birth outside the hospital
A name has not yet been announced for the new baby, who is third in line to the British throne. Speculation is that the name will be announced at the family leaves the hospital tomorrow, much in the same way Harry was announced as Charles and Diana left the hospital. It took a few days to announce William’s name.
So…any suggestions?
