Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is set to star in a video for fly-over rockers, Theory of a Deadman. From a press release sent out by the band:
Vancouver rockers Theory Of A Deadman will be filming a video for their hit single …Not Meant To Be starring Grammy nominated songwriter and American Idol superstar Kara DioGuardi in the lead role. DioGuardi co-wrote the song with the band frontman Tyler Connolly.
Connolly had this to say about working with DioGuardi, …Amazing. I went over to her place, drank some wine and we wrote ‹Not Meant To Be in 5 minutes. Our writing styles fit together so perfectly it was almost like it was ‹meant to be.ƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬
DioGuardi adds, …The best part about my job is that you never know who you are going to meet, and who going to inspire you. Although Id never worked with Tyler, when he started singing the song, I knew we were onto something special. I am thrilled he asked me to be a part of the video.
Hardly a “Superstar” after three weeks, Kara’s still at that “Uhm, what’s her name?” stage of fame. Peeps watching the video will think to themselves, “Hm, that face is familiar, is she the chick on Bones?” Or, insert your random TV brunette actress here.
The song, “Not Meant to Be” is the third single from Theory of a Deadman’s latest release, Scars and Souvenirs. The band is currently on the Saints of Los Angeles Tour with Motley Crà ¼e and Hinder. Butt rock extravaganza, peeps!
