Recording artist, Kanye West, followed a week of controversy with an appearance on Saturday Night Live. The rapper performed two songs, “High Lights” and “Ultra Light Beams” from his newly released album, The Life of Pablo.

The rapper doesn’t tweet much, but he’s been hitting social media this past week, mostly to promote the album and his latest fashion collection unveiled at New York Fashion Week.  Here’s Yeezy trolling, from early in the week:

Kanye also got into hot water after he namechecked Taylor Swift in a song “Famous” which debuted during his clothing line presentation on Thursday. In a long twitter rant, he swore the lyric in question, “”I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” was not only OK with Taylor, she suggested it. But Taylor’s camp insists that she cautioned him not to put out a song with strong misogynist content. And she had not even heard the “bitch” line. So the Grammys on Monday could be “interesting” and you have to wonder how much of it is manufactured for publicity–at both ends.

Later in the week, there were various rants directed at detractors of his clothing line and on Saturday, he compared himself to the apostle Paul. Or something. Oh Kanye. Keep doing you!

Not everybody is mad at Kanye. He had a crew performing with him on the 30 Rock stage “High Lights” featured Young Thug, El DeBarge, Kelly Price, The Dream and A$AP Bari,

The show closer, “Ultra Light Beams” brought back Kelly Price and The Dream, and also featured CCM star, Kirk Franklin, a gospel choir, and a rap break by Chance the Rapper.
