Luke Bryan Says American Idol Is Like Going On Vacation – The country superstar tells iHeartRadio’s Big 95.5 in Chicago he had a “good time doing” Idol’s first season on ABC and adds taking a seat on the judges’ panel requires long but rewarding work days. “The auditions are about 12, 13 hours and they are long but they are fun. It’s so exciting because you are giving people tickets to Hollywood and all that,” he says, “so it flies by. We are locked in and focused on what we are doing.” The “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” singer goes on to say American Idol’s live show is the light at the end of the tunnel. “When we get to live recordings, those are only two hours, so after two months of 12-hour days when we get to lives, it’s like it flies by and you don’t even know it. It’s like you are on vacation,” Luke says. – Read more at iHeart.com
Chris Daughtry says new album, ‘Cage to Rattle,’ is band’s “most mature work to date” – Daughtry’s new album, Cage to Rattle, is out today, and nobody’s happier about it than Chris Daughtry. The band’s been working on the project for two years, and Chris says he’s relieved that, at long last, the music is ready. “It’s such a weight off my shoulders,” Chris tells ABC Radio. “We’ve been talking about ‘A new record’s coming’ for so long that it started to feel like a myth! We’re so glad to actually prove [to] people that we actually have been working on a new album, and you can actually buy this thing!” Making Cage to Rattle wasn’t easy: Not only was the band dealing with issues like scheduling and musical direction, but Chris admits he was “plagued by self-doubt” throughout the process. – Read more at ABCNewsRadio

The tie-up brings together Marvel’s X-Men and Avengers franchises and creates an entertainment behemoth in the digital streaming era. The shareholder vote caps a saga that began in December 2017, when Disney made its first offer for part of Rupert Murdoch’s media conglomerate.
