Jordin Spark’s peeps have issued a release regarding the state of her vocal cords, and they claim that the sky is not falling. Jordin will miss the first two weeks of the Alicia Keys tour while she’s on vocal rest. She plans to join Alicia on tour in May.
“There’s no career-threatening situation. She’s just on vocal rest and she’s expected to make a full recovery, ” the label said in a statement. “She’ll be on vocal rest for two weeks, and she’s slated to join the Alicia Keys tour in May.”
“All of her April activities have been postponed or canceled so she can take care of her voice properly.”
“Sparks has been going nonstop over the past two years and now she’s going through the normal course of learning how to manage and care for her voice.”
Of course, if something is seriously wrong with Jordin Sparks, I don’t think her management would be upfront about that.
Hopefully, Jordin’s problems aren’t serious, and she is able to get on the road in May. Her career has really been picking up steam lately. Her single with Chris Brown “No Air” climbed to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week, and her album, Jordin Sparks, climbed to #17–it’s highest chart position since it debuted at #10 late last year.
