Jordan Smith had the honor of repping for his home state of Kentucky on Friday as he sang the National Anthem before the Longines Kentucky Oaks derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville. The race, featuring 3 year old fillies, is part of a weekend full of events centered around the Kentucky Derby, taking place on Saturday.

The Kentucky Oaks features a “Pink Out” theme and asks guests to incorporate pink into their attire to raise breast cancer awareness.
“Barnstable Brown” refers to the Barnstable Brown party which took place last night, to benefit the University of Kentucky’s Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Center.
