On Wednesday night’s (Oct 14) Billboard Music Awards, John Legend performed an emotional performance of “Never Break” dedicated to his wife, Chrissy Teigen.
The performance comes after Chrissy miscarried a child pretty far along in her pregnancy. Admitted to the hospital after experiencing heavy bleeding, despite heroic efforts that included several blood transfusions, the doctors couldn’t save Chrissy and John’s son, whom they had already decided to name Jack.
The BBMas were originally schedule for April, but due to the COVID-19 was postponed until the fall. Hosted by John’s fellow The Voice coach, Kelly Clarkson, the event proceeded live at the Dolby Theater in Los Angels, without an audience.
