Joe McElderry Records Carrie Underwood’s “A Place For Us” for Narnia

The reigning X Factor UK winner, Joe McElderry recorded the Carrie Underwood co-write “A Place For Us” for an international release of the new movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, according to Joe’s official website.

Carrie tracked a version of the song, co-written with David Hodges and Hillary Lindsey for the American release, set to open on December 12 (and available for digital download on November 16).

It was announced in a press release that international cover versions of Carrie’s song would be recorded overseas in a small number of select countries.

The Swedish pop band, EMD has also recorded a version of the song (watch it here)

Joe will attend The Royal Film Performance and World Premiere of the film in Leicester Square UK on November 30th and switch on the regents street lights on November 9th.

So what if Carrie isn’t performing the international versions? She’s still going to earn those songwriters royalties…
