Jessica Sanchez spoke with Clevver music about her upcoming album, Me, You & The Music, set to be released on April 30.
The reporter has heard the album, and was able to ask the American Idol 11 runner-up, specific questions about the tracks on the record.
Highlights:
- Ne-Yo, who sings on and co-wrote her single “Tonight”, was a fan of Jessica’s on the show. His people reached out to her about collaborating with her on the album.
- The album has a mix of ballads, upbeat tracks and electronic music.
- There’s a “Spanglish” song on the album, written by Toby Gad and Prince Royce. Royce was put on the track after Jessica recorded it.
- “Drive By” reminded the reporter of a Beyonce track. Toby Gad wrote the song with Jazmine Sullivan, one of Jessica’s favorite singers.
