According to Access Hollywood, the announcement that Jennifer Lopez will return to American Idol as a judge will be made this week.
A person familiar with negotiations to bring Jennifer Lopez back as an “American Idol” judge says her return will be announced this week.
The person said Monday that a deal is close to being signed with Lopez, who was an “Idol” judge for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. The person wasn’t authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
According to the “source” Jlo decided to return, because she wanted a job that would allow her to spend more time with her young children. So, it had nothing to once again have a platform in order to promote her projects? OK. Her two year stint on the show literally brought her stalled career back to life. So.
Jennifer will join returning judge Keith Urban and maybe Dr. Luke. Will.i.am was supposed to take the thrid seat, but reportedly the talks stalled over money. I wonder if Jennifer took a paycut? She was making a reported 15 million dollars when she left the show in 2011.
