‘America’s Got Talent’ Asked Lindsey Stirling To Compete Again. Here’s What She Said. – “It was really funny because they called me, and I thought maybe they wanted me to be a guest performer or something and I literally, my jaw kind of dropped,” she told HuffPost at Build Series. “They were like, ‘We want to invite you back on America’s Got Talent.’ And I was like, ‘Thank you. I don’t mean to be rude, but I would never come back to compete. Like, I’m sorry I do really well on my own now. I tour the world. Thank you, but absolutely not.’ It was a funny moment for me.” – Read more at Huffington Post

‘The Voice’: How Kelly Clarkson hid a ‘raspy’ voice, and what else you didn’t see on TV – They sound great to the fans, but Clarkson, who’s hoarse from a mild illness, asks for a retake, a luxury not available during the live show. She apparently forgets her microphone is on, as she utters a mild expletive. The sweet and straightforward singer instantly realizes her gaffe and says politely, “Oh, sorry.” – Read more at USAToday

He speculates that his age is holding him back…

Chevel Shepherd on Her Big ‘Voice’ Win: ‘I Was Ecstatic’ – “I wanted to choose Blake [Shelton] from the get-go, but something inside my gut was telling me to go with Kelly [Clarkson], so I had to listen to that,” Voice winner Chevel Shepherd tells Rolling Stone of choosing her coach. The Voice Season 15 Winner Chevel Shepherd’s Backup Career Was Inspired by Criminal Minds – “I love Criminal Minds,” she revealed. “I always watch with my mom. I like mystery shows and my backup plan if this doesn’t work out — which I’m hoping it does — I would like to be a forensic profiler. Like putting a puzzle together and figuring out who murdered who and why they did it. That sounds weird but it’s cool.” In case you’re wondering, she’s also super into the CW’s criminally good teen drama Riverdale. – Read more at TV Guide

Carrie Underwood’s Sunday Night Football Theme Sucks And Nobody Should Kiss Her Sensitive Ass – I don’t get the whole Aunt Char thing, but certainly Smetana is not a bad feminist for criticizing another woman’s work. And obviously it’s stupid for a nationally renowned celebrity to take issue with a relative nobody’s opinion that their minute-long football commercial sucks ass, and really Carrie Underwood fans should all be grateful to know exactly how much of a sensitive weenie she is. Though this should go without saying: People are allowed to have opinions about a TV theme, even mean ones, and they shouldn’t apologize for them. – Read more at Deadspin

The tweeter and another sportswriter are upset that Carrie started a pile on. Also argue that Carrie argues in bad faith. Also: Her fans are crazy (Like crazier than sports fans? Surprised they’re surprised by fan behavior.)
