Jennifer Hudson and James Corden engaged each other in a rap battle on the new “Drop The Mic” episode that aired Wednesday night on the CBS Late Late Show.
The American Idol alum ultimately lost the battle, but not for lack of some pretty good disses from Corden, several of them Idol themed: He called her an American Idol “loser” reminding the singer of her 7th place finish. He said he preferred Kelly Clarkson, and compared Jennifer unfavorably (although mistakenly) to Bo Bice.
In the end, however, Jennifer blew the host away with her “secret weapon…” It was epic.
This week, Corden is taping his show in London, a city familiar to the Oscar winner, as she spent a few weeks there earlier in the year as a coach on The Voice UK. One of her team members, Mo Adeniran, took it all. Jennifer will be sitting on the US The Voice panel come the fall, alongside Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
