These days, American Idol 7 alum, Jason Castro is crooning with his in an outfit dubbed Castro the Band. The group includes his brother Michael who made it to Hollywood in Season 8 and their younger sister, Jackie. Their repertoire so far is secular, a departure from the Christian Contemporary music Jason was releasing with Warner Brothers subsidiary, Word.
What’s remarkable about this cover is how Jason pulls focus every time his vocal is front and center. Sister Jackie is technically the best singer of the trio, but Jason’s vulnerability here will break your heart.
