Glee star, Jane Lynch, stopped by The Tonight Show to promote her NBC summer series, Hollywood Game Night, but she also took a minute at the top of the interview to remember her late friend, Cory Monteith.
“Cory’s…one of the biggest hearts, was a real bright light. He was one of those guys that…he knew he was breathing rarefied air–the gifts that this wonderful show gave us.” Jane took in a big breath here, to keep from choking up. “He was quite generous, and one of those adventurous types of people. I always admired how he would get up. He’d fly to Mexico. He’d throw parties for his friends. I don’t think he left one day unlived.”
“He was a real bright light in our family,” Jane said, a little tearful, “We lost a really great guy.”
Then Jane told the story of how Cory flew across the country on his own nickel to meet a sick child whose last wish was to meet him. “That’s the kind of guy he was,” she said, “He was a real giver.”
