@HaleyScoop, a writer for the Chicago Daily Herald tweeted a few updates on the S10 Idols after interviewing them ahead of their Idols Live concert in Rosemont tonight. Look for her full interviews on the blog, later.
She says James Durbin appears to be close to a record deal, tweeting, “For all you @JDurbinAI10 fans out there: James seemed to indicate to me, he was pretty close on a record deal, there’s just “red tape to get thru”, she tweets.
And for Paul McDonald she tweets, “As for @PMcDonaldAI10, he said he can’t wait to get back with The Grand Magnolias and make more music. He said he’s thinking of releasing an album of B-sides of Grand Magnolias stuff in the fall, then maybe a solo project next year?”
She tweets this update on Stefano Langone and Naima Adepapo, “And @SLagoneAI10 and NadepoAI10 are looking to get themselves out there as much as possible, hopefully want to get signed and release stuff as well.”
About the progress hometown girl, Haley Reinhart is making on her album, she tweets “And as for @HReinhartAI10, the album is really in its infancy stages, she hasn’t laid down any tracks yet, she wants to take her time as much as possible.”
And finally, the tweets a tidbit on Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams, “Basically right now @HReinhartAI10 is working with @CAbramsAI10 to get chord structure for all the old lyrics and melodies she has.”
If James has a record deal, the big question is whether it is with UMG or somebody outside the Idol machine…
