Looking for some Idol music to augment that holiday playlist? There’s a lot to choose from. Even more than you realize–the Idols love to release Christmas tunes.
Let’s start with the new stuff. 2008 offered plenty holiday music from the Idols.

There are new Christmas albums this year from Elliott Yamin–download My Kind of Holiday from iTunes and Amazon. Mandisa’s It’s Christmas can also be downloaded from iTunes and Amazon. Speaking of 2007, Jordin Sparks had a song on last year’s This Christmas soundtrack. Get “Ill Be Home for Christmas at iTunes and Amazon. Season 5’s Bucky Covington released “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and Katharine McPhee, “Oh Come All Ye Faithfull”. Kimberley Locke released Christmas, an album featuring her AC hits, including this year’s “We Need a Little Christmas.” And, Hear Something Country featured both Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood – iTunes and Amazon
