Season 4 Idol winner Carrie Underwood continues to tour with The Voice’s The Swon Brothers as one of her openers. I never get the regions of the US correct, but they were in Oklahoma, Utah, Kansas and Nevada so I will call it the middle-ish part of the US. The concerts were all in the 10K range raking in $700K or more each.

In other news, Vinyl outsold digital last week in the UK. Vinyl generated $3.02M in sales while digital downloads were a mere $2.6M. Vinyl sales have been growing 10% per year while other sales are down. The turn of the century (1999-2000) was the peak earning years for the music biz generating almost $15B in the US. It is down to about half of that now.
