Idols In Concert – Stats – 07/10/14

Adam Lambert is touring with Queen and their Las Vegas concerts were a sell-out bringing in almost 891K in revenue. Also continuing to sell-out concerts is America’s Got Talent, Lindsey Stirling – this time in Birmingham. X-Factor’s Fifth Harmony and Little Mix are opening for X-Factor judge Demi Lovato, but this was back in March in Worcester.

And then there is The Voice tour. There are 6 dates reported for a total of 7746 tickets (remember back in the day when that would have been an okay number for a single Idol concert?). The total revenue for those concerts is $416,948. Touring with a live band and a lot of contestants, I wonder if they are making money at concerts like the Charlotte one where they played for 789 paying customers.

Coachella sold a staggering 590K tickets over 6 days to rake in over $78M. Stagecoach (California’s Country festival) sold 190,200 tickets over 3 days for $18.6M. They like their music festivals in that state.

Tessanne Chin, winner of the Fall 2013 version of the Voice released an album last week. It ended up 41st on the BB200 chart. HipHopDx reports that Joe’s “Bridges” sold 6,878 for 40th. Rough Stock tells us that Blake Shelton’s “Based on a True Story” sold a rounded 6K at 50th. So Tessanne likely sold in the mid 6Ks. First Season winner Javiar Colon debuted with 9,974, Season 2 winner Jermaine Paul did not release an album, Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope started with 43K while Danielle Bradbery from Season 4 had 41K in her opening week. Season 5 winner Tessanne holds the record for worst debut of a Voice winner who got a debut week.
