  1. Grace opening for Imagine Dragons seems like a very odd fit. How old is she now — 13 or 14? Have we seen any comments from concertgoers about how her set is being received?

  2. It does read as odd, I wouldn’t think that they share an audience, but maybe they are both pop enough so it works somehow? I don’t know, I don’t listen to either one.

  3. that review doesn’t actually talk about how the crowd received her though (or about her performance at all). It just says that Imagine Dragons has young fans so maybe it’s not as odd as it seems for Grace to perform with them. I’d like to know if those kids liked her set — because her music isn’t that close to anything ID really does

  4. I really like ID. I don’t know anything about Grace, and TBH the review lost me at “ukulele.” But good for her that she has this opportunity.

  5. I can’t believe Taylor has that many fans. Selling out a stadium for one night is a big feat. Three?

  7. No surprise to me. If you can sell over 1m albums the first week year after year, as a country or pop artist you have fans, lol. Also, 1 Direction could consistently sell out stadiums on multiple nights, tho, they did not have those type of album sales.

  8. Yep. That is something. If anyone earned the right to be called “Queen” it would be Taylor. If not her then maybe Adele, lol.

  9. Yay for Adam and Queen. Over 1.6 mil. per concert and not a bad take for two days of work.

  10. Imagine Dragons will fill up the venues no matter who opens for them. Maybe it was just a matter of wanting to give an artist a leg up or her team knew someone on their team and made a pitch. Some of the really successful and current rock acts (ID still win rock awards regardless of what anyone thinks) don’t think highly of those from reality shows. And some of them go out of their way to say newerer rock acts, trying to make it, suck. But Dan Reynolds helped get X Ambassadors signed to interscope and he is also very supportive of the LGBT community. He may not have been looking for Grace to help them but instead just wanted to help her. So for me, the why or the how is less important than he seems like a good guy willing to extend a helping hand to acts trying to make it.

  11. There might be around a half dozen or so performers who can fill stadiums: U2, once upon a time 1D, JT, TS, Luke Bryan (not sure he can do that all over the country), and a couple others.

I can’t wrap my head around how many can fill arenas and others can’t fill a club.

  12. Taylor’s drawing power is impressive but there are plenty of acts that play stadiums both in the USA and abroad — Billy Joel, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce/Jay-Z, Kenny Chesney, Lady Gaga,. Queen + Lambert play stadiums in some overseas markets. They don’t always play stadiums (sometimes they play arenas — often artists prefer to do multiple nights in an arena rather than one or two stadium nights — its a different experience) but they play stadiums when they want. It isn’t that rare, but you need to be huge to fill em. I don’t recall timberlake doing solo stadium tours — i think hes only done them with Jay Z. His solo us shows are usually at arenas.

  13. Always enjoy seeing these great numbers for Queen and Adam. Rock on, guys!
