Idol Sales News – Week Ending 01/27/12

HDD is predicting top 50 album sales for American Idol winners Phil, Carrie and Kelly plus X-Factorers One Direction times two. HDD should give us a prediction for Season 11’s Colton Dixon who released an album this week. Christian artists are a little hard to predict because they tend to sell a lot of product through Christian bookstores who are not part of the SoundScan system. Over the weeks, you will see the album totals not make any sense because even SS will estimate the sales for each week, but the running totals will be the actually reported sales.

This is the weekly sales thread. Please post the numbers as they become available.
