Ellen’s Ratings Breaking Records First Week of Idol

Idol judge, Ellen Degeneres has seen record ratings since her first week on Idol, “During her first week on “Idol, ” Ellen’s syndicated “Ellen DeGeneres Show” show scored its highest weekly average rating ever…”Ellen” delivered a 2.9 household rating, her best in seven years on the air. She was also up 12% week-to-week and 26% year-to-year.” via The Hollywood Reporter.

No Howard on Idol, Cowell Replacement Announced End of Season

Deadline Hollywood reports that Howard Stern will definitely NOT be joining American Idol (but we knew that already). Simon Cowell’s replacement will be announced at the end of Season 9. 19E has a budget of 38 million for Simon’s replacement. Sweet! via Deadline Hollywood.

Chris Golightly is Still Whining

Chris Golightly will not STFU. He tells MTV, “‘All I can say is, that’s why I should have been there, ‘ the dejected singer said when asked for a reaction to the drubbing handed out to Tim Urban, the Texas singer who replaced Golightly in the top 24. ‘I met Tim, he’s wonderful, he’s awesome as well, but we’re two different people. That’s my spot. [Simon Cowell] wouldn’t have said that to me.'” via MTV

Jason Castro is Heading to Singapore
