‘American Idol’ Alum Anthony Fedorov: How Starring in ‘Rent’ is Bringing Him to ‘A Better Place Emotionally’ – Not one to rest for long, Fedorov was cast in the lead role of Roger in the New World Stages production of Rent, which opened on Tuesday night off-Broadway. But while originally meant to be a six-month run ending in January 2013, Fedorov will instead be the last Roger in this run, as the show has posted a closing notice for Sept. 9. “That was definitely a surprise and it hit the cast pretty hard,”the 27-year-old tells THR’s Idol Worship. “We were just told a few days ago. X Factor Auditions: Demi Lovato Lashes Out at Drug-Rapping Duo – Demi Lovato just said no…to a couple of X Factor hopefuls who rapped about doing drugs earlier today during their audition for the Fox show. “She wasn’t having any of it,” a source confirms to E! News of what went down in Greensboro, N.C. “She said ‘It’s really irresponsible to be rapping about drugs in front of kids.’ Then they tried to make excuses and Demi said, ‘You talked about bath salts, I heard you.'” Lovato told the young rappers to leave the stage, the source said, and the “rest of the judges completely backed her.” The audience also booed the duo. – Read more at EOnline

Reid, Keeps Everyone Waiting While He Eats At Diner – In Greensboro, N.C. for The X Factor auditions, Simon Cowell got a taste of southern cooking — but it was his fellow X Factor judges who were steaming. Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid were left waiting 45 minutes as Simon spontaneously decided to drop in and have breakfast at a diner while on his way to the show. “One minute Simon was on his way to the Coliseum and auditions were about to start – the next thing security was radioing over that Simon had diverted the driver and asked to go to a local diner,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
